I have been a support worker, working with the elderly for many years, with constant lifting and supporting residents damaging and weakening my spine. The physical stress has caused disc prolapse, intense pain and sciatica with numbness and tingling down my left side to my foot. I have had physiotherapy, MRI scans and epidural injections into the base of my spine and was advised that I would need a surgical discectomy in the lower back, as nothing helped and I was still in constant pain .

I passed the Ideal Spine Centre everyday on my way to work and decided to phone for a consultation. I am so glad I made that decision, as it was discovered that I had 6 major levels of vertebral subluxation, which explained the cause of my problem and why I was suffering. It was clear that if I didn't start looking after my spine, my health was going to deteriorate, so I made an important but easy commitment to my health.

Dr Farthing and his staff were all so friendly and helpful and very informative every step of the way and I have been able to continue going to work. I have also been able to do my gardening and have a more positive outlook on life . The Ideal Spine Centre has a wonderful, warm, friendly feeling for all ages. Everybody is made to feel welcome. I still get occasional flare ups, but adjustments from Dr Farthing enable me to continue with my life.

Before coming to the Ideal Spine Centre, getting out of bed and everyday activities gave me constant pain and I had poor mobility. Dr Farthing has helped me deal with this - which I am very grateful for. The adjustments and exercises have made my back stronger .

My husband Malcolm also had major levels of vertebral subluxation, through years of lifting heavy objects at work and a car accident. He had spondylitis in his neck and was unable to turn his head without pain. He could not lift his arm above his head and had numbness, pins and needles in his arm, as well as chronic lower back pain. He is now able to drive, turn his head, do some gardening and has much more stamina .
