I had suffered from migraines since I was a teenager and there seemed nothing much anyone could do. I learnt to live with them and the disablement they caused every week or so. My husband however, had terrible back pain a few years ago, which debilitated him for weeks. Since then, it had never felt quite right and he would have twinges, and scares that it might happen again. He also had problems with his right arm and was in a lot of discomfort...not ideal if you are the head chef in a very popular Thai restaurant. Having spent time in Australia, and with my close friend being a clinical assistant for a chiropractor over there, I was aware of the principles of chiropractic care, but thought it was all covered by health insurance plans. I never thought we could afford the cost here. I had read Dr. Christian's health columns and adverts in the paper with some skepticism, as I found them to be rather 'americanised' and 'cheesy' but when they advertised a discounted check up I thought we had nothing to loose by going along.

For Anggoon. (Age 44)

Although we both knew that we had problems, we were both shocked at our x-rays and realized that actually, we could not afford NOT to have treatment and so had to re-arrange our finances in order to invest in our future well-being. Running our own businesses, we can never afford to take time off being ill! It was difficult to fit in all the adjustments during the first few months but something was happening to us and we knew it was worth it. Anggoon felt relief quite quickly and when he once felt his back twinge again Dr. Christian gave him extra adjustments and sorted the problem in days. He no longer worries 'what if it goes again' because (a) it is less likely to occur now because his spine is in better alignment, and (b) he knows that Dr. Christian is available to give him immediate adjustments to continue work if it did.

And for me. (Age 41)

Mum and 'slave' to the accounts and all paperwork for both businesses.

I felt quite dizzy and disorientated for quite a while after each of my adjustments (and still do occasionally). I still find the block uncomfortable but the thoracic wedge is a godsend after a day on the computer! While I still get the very occasional bad headache I have only had a couple of migraines since coming and hence have had much more energy. As an added bonus my menstrual cycle is regular for the first time ever!

And the boys. (William - Age 9; Henry - Age 7)

What we heard made sense, so we also brought our two boys for a check up. William is nine and on the Autistic Spectrum while Henry is six, seemed fit and well. It was a real shock to see Henry's x-ray as his was worse than William's. Yes he did always complain that his legs ached and couldn't get comfortable in his sleep . wasn't that just 'growing pains' and a phase to pass through ? Well, it all disappeared within just a few months of adjustments and he sleeps well and comfortably now. We were concerned about William because even though we understood the need for spinal health care, it was whether he would allow Dr. Christian to perform his adjustments. But amazingly, although he still has his moments and everyone is very understanding when he does, both boys have made friends with other children in the jungle room and look forward to seeing them.and yes, William does let Dr. Christian do adjustments on him.

Alice Humphrey-Smith (Age 76 - Nan)

When my daughter, Veronica Buttayotee bought me to the Ideal Spine Centre, I thought there was not much need for me to attend as I was in no pain apart from "getting older" symptoms, a little arthritis, only to be expected in one aged 75 at the time. I thought I felt quite well.

When I saw the results of the examination and x-rays I was horrified to see the subluxations in my spine, how lopsided my body was and how my weight was so unevenly balanced (30lbs difference). I was heading for problems with my health which could be avoided by being adjusted. Dr. Christian told me that he could keep me active in the garden and in the house for many years, without pain and my health would be much better once innate intelligence had got to work. He also told me what he could NOT do, i.e. restore inches to my height which I had lost through many years of bad posture and the curvature of my spine.

After a few weeks, I was already feeling better with more energy than I had before. After 10 months of adjustments my weight is only 1lb short of being the same each side.

My hip had started to give me pain but Dr Farthing explained that it was now moving toward the normal position, that it was the surrounding muscles and ligaments that were responding to the change. I no longer have any problems with this and I know my hip is 'saved'. I am taking long walks and feeling much more 'alive and well'. I have to remember my age not feel it.

I am so grateful, firstly to Veronica my daughter, without whom I would not have started here, but most of all to Dr. Christian, in not only having achieved all this with my body by the adjustments to my spine and the exercises that I do. But in the wonderful organization he has established in Blean and the dedicated, efficient and friendly staff, the exciting workshops and enthusiasm and determination to help as many people as he can reach. What he achieves without drugs is almost incredible. I always feel welcome, and part of it all, "at home" and relaxed.
