I had had back problems for about a year on and off, bought on by straining my back playing football. About February 2007 it was starting to cause sharp pains when moving about doing everyday things. The NHS took one x-ray and said the back was good and said “it must be just a muscle spasm”. They handed me over to a physio about the time I saw the advert for the Ideal Spine Centre. I went for a check up at the Ideal Spine Centre and after learning I had subluxation (where the vertebrae are not lined up as they should be, putting undue pressure on the nervous system) and postural problems, I decided to start care, along with Jackie and our two daughters Annaliese (age 6) and Nicole (age 4), who were already showing signs of bad posture and possible subluxation.

 

Correcting these problems can help the body heal itself and operate as it should naturally and drug free, which can’t be bad. I feel proud to be doing something to help myself and my family to be as healthy as we can be.

 

Jackie and I have just had our 90 day re-examination and I’m glad I made the right choice. If I had gone down the NHS route I may never have known about my subluxations or bad posture, or had them corrected.

 

At the Ideal Spine Centre you are encouraged to learn, grow and change your habits for better, healthier ones. It is a place for anyone who is passionate about their future well being. If there were more places like the Ideal Spine Centre, it would be better for everyone.

I first saw an advert for the Ideal Spine Centre in the Kent on Sunday newspaper offering free spine and health checks. At the time, my partner Gareth was suffering from lower back pain. I told him to ring and make an appointment. Gareth found out that he had 5 vertebral subluxations. He came home telling me about subluxation which can affect the nerve supply to the rest of the body.

 

Gareth was so pleased with all the help and support from the Ideal Spine Centre, he decided to take us along. I found out that I had a reversed “C curve” in my neck which did not look very good. Dr. Farthing told me it was correctable (what a relief!). I since have had regular adjustments. I also have been given daily exercise which the Clinical Assistants help me with.

 

This has definitely changed the way I live my life. I can do things now that I could never do before. I am actually doing a sponsored bike ride of 56 miles. There is no way I could have done that a year ago. I had no energy, felt tired all the time and was generally unhealthy.

 

Since going to the workshops I have learnt about energy, nutrition, posture, optimal health and so much more. I feel well and healthy and have a sense of purpose.

 

I would recommend everyone and anyone to go to the Ideal Spine Centre…it’s fantastic! All the staff are outstanding and they always make you feel so welcome. I want to say thank you to Dr. Farthing for putting my family and I on the right path to health and wellness.
