An Interview with a Spinal Specialist from Canterbury

It has been a special past few months for Doctor Christian Farthing at the Ideal Spine Centre. At the end of last year, his practice was recognised with an international award for delivering the highest standard of patient care through the use of the most advanced computerized patient care system.

Dr. Farthing was very grateful for this award and wanted to thank his highly trained staff.

Whilst running a very busy health care practice, Dr. Farthing has also been pursuing further studies with other specialists in the UK and Europe to deliver the safest and most effective form of spinal health care to Canterbury and the South East of England.

Dr. Farthing was at a teaching seminar in London recently, with some of Europe's leading Spinal Specialists and Chiropractors, where he was recognised internationally as a Distinguished Fellow of CBP for Clinical and Spinal Biomechanics by Dr. Deed Harrison.

Dr. Harrison, who presented the award, is from the United States of America and is a well known international author, researcher and educator of spinal correction, spinal biomechanics and how the proper alignment of the spine is essential for optimal health. Dr. Harrison is a Chiropractor and also a peer reviewer for leading international orthopaedic and physical medicine journals.

Because the birth process can be very traumatic, especially during Caesarian Section, Forceps or Vontoose (suction) procedures, Dr. Farthing encourages all parents to have their childrens' spine's checked by a Spinal Specialist or a Wellness Chiropractor specializing in paediatrics.

Unfortunately, in the United Kingdom we do not routinely provide these important check-ups after birth or throughout life. So, by the time children start developing, they may also be carrying around spinal problems that can lead to lowered performance at school, behavioural problems, headaches, back problems, abnormal curvatures of the spine and so much more.

Dr Farthing made one thing very clear to me as we finished the interview, which was when it all became crystal clear. He concluded by stating,

"The problem with our current health care system is that one has to be sick in order to enter it.
