Eighteen months ago, my husband drew my attention to a whole page article for The Ideal Spine Centre in the newpaper. The article gave us hope that there was some way forward with the physical difficulties I had been experiencing for sometime. I had given up work at the age of 52 with a diagnosis of spondylosis/spondylitits in my neck. I was also suffering with trigeminal neuralgia in my face. The pain was so bad I ended up on epileptic drugs and heavy pain killers and was going around in a daze feeling half alive . Life was becoming a big effort as I could only lift very light loads and driving long distances was becoming impossible . I also kept falling over for no apparent reason . Thankfully I never broke anything but it was not unusual for me to fall over at least twice a month. My GP even tested me for a stroke as I always fell to the left. But no, it wasn't that!

When I went to the Ideal Spine Centre for the first time I was very impressed by the happy caring environment and how, for the first time, Dr. Christian was able to explain why I was experiencing so many difficulties. I learnt how vital a healthy spine is and realised my spine was in a bad way. He discovered a genetic anomaly at the base of my spine where the vertebrae were fused together , in addition to six subluxations , where there was abnormal alignment of the spine causing interference with the nerves and blood vessels resulting in degeneration. My spine was fairly straight but twisted to the left with my left hip lower than the right one. The photograph revealed that I was leaning over a hands length more to the left and my weight was 27lbs more on the left hand side. No wonder I had been falling over to the left. I remembered that years ago I had fallen out of the loft and taken a radiator off the wall with my left foot. I realise now the unseen damage that took place.

I made progress quite quickly once I had begun regular adjustments and began to feel more energetic. After about 6 months I stopped falling over, which made walking the dog a lot more enjoyable. My posture gradually improved with the neck exercises and home traction unit, eventually enabling me to sleep without pain killers most of the time. I was really glad I kept going with my adjustment for a second year as I needed Dr. Christian to help me when I put my back out lifting incorrectly. Yes I said lifting, I'm doing so much more now and seeing lots of improvements that mean a lot to me. For example, last year I had two chest infections, this year none. That means my immune system is stronger also! If I had kept to the rocket fuel nutrition way of eating I would have done even better. I'm glad Dr. Christian cares enough to tell me the truth! I'm so grateful to Dr. Christian and his great team for the improvements in my health. I've got a quality of life now I haven't had for years.
