Irene and I first became aware of the idea of 'wellness' when we arrived to live and work in the USA 12 years ago. When we returned after two years, we often remarked how much we missed that whole positive outlook on life and THEN we found the Ideal Spine Centre!

Discovering this wonderful place so near to our home has been a life changing experience. We are always glad to be here and feel constantly welcomed and cared for by Dr. Christian and his friendly and efficient staff.

After a couple of serious road accidents, including being hurled across the inside of a coach, writing at a computer and working mainly in London, I had developed a severe lower back pain, intense pain in the hips, an inability to walk comfortably, an uncomfortable neck, a general lack of mobility, low energy and frequent eye haemorrhages.

After my pile up on the M25, I remember the surgeon looking at my x-rays and saying "you will have many disabilities for many years to come". But he offered no treatment whatsoever.

As years went by, I felt as though I was fighting my own body and had been diagnosed with high blood pressure and an irregular heart beat . The only positive treatment I had received was all 'drug based' with the result that my energy levels were falling and even my favourite activity for deciding on what to write next was suffering. Vacuuming had become agony and holding or bouncing grandchildren was too painful.

On one of our frequent trips to Whitstable to play music we spotted the Ideal Spine Centre and responded to the offer of a free examination. Entering this new and caring world, where there seemed to be joined up thinking in everything, I was soon diagnosed with several subluxations and a total misalignment of my body.

The effects of Dr. Christian's spinal correction and wellness program have been dramatic (and I'm not just saying this because it happens to be the world I work in). I have far greater mobility, I have very little back or hip pain, I roll about with my grandchildren, I have high energy, my neck actually moves when I need to reverse a car, I have only had one tiny eye haemorrhage and my recent blood pressure test is the best I have had for 15 years. This is all after 90 days. I realise that there is still a long way to go to even better health, but the sense of responsible care and constant enthusiasm and encouragement is in such contrast to my experience of clinics, hospitals and surgeries where, if you are not feeling ill when you enter, you certainly are when you leave!

Since my free examination at the Ideal Spine Centre, diagnosis, spinal adjustments, soft tissue massage and exercises, I feel I'm regaining my life!

When Dr. Christian showed me my x-ray, showing the state of my neck and lower back, I was shocked. I was also taken aback at being told I had seven subluxations, despite the fact that I knew that there was something amiss with my neck.

I have also been recommended a remedial correction collar to wear twice a day. This has been nicknamed 'the iron maiden'! What a difference this treatment can make to one's life and why couldn't everyone have this wonderful opportunity. We are so fortunate to have this centre in Canterbury.
