Lloyd Weston (Age - 60 years young, Mobility Advisor)

My name is Lloyd Weston. I am 60 years young. I started working life as a plasterer before joining the family construction business and have been a builder for most of my life. For the past three years I have been involved in our retail mobility business.

I had an accident when I was eleven years old on a school adventure holiday and this, I believe, caused two vertebrae at the base of my spine to be misaligned (Vertebral Subluxation), and I have had problems on and off since that time. I have mostly been to osteopaths for relief treatment when it had been particularly bad.

My wife, Val, had seen an advertisement for the Ideal Spine Centre in the local press and made the appointment for me. She had been worried for some time about my posture as I had one shoulder down and my legs slightly bent at the knee (the only way it was comfortable). I was also suffering with discomfort when standing or walking for a ‘longish’ time and hence, my wife was particularly worried about how I would be in another 10 years time! I was far from pleased when she made the appointment, but I’m glad now that I didn’t cancel it. At first, I didn’t think that it was the place for me (Dr. Christian says I’m his biggest sceptic). But when I saw my x-rays(!) I had subluxation in six places, I could see my awful posture clearly on the photos and I had a significant weight imbalance 31 more pounds on one side. The results were clear and I am so glad I did follow through with the recommendations.

I was determined to do something about it before it was too late. It was now or never. Within a few weeks I could see the difference and felt a lot better in myself too. I am now into my second year and I feel great. I have had virtually no back pain, my posture has improved and I have no problems with standing or walking anymore. I seem to have more energy and seem to cope with stressful situations much better. Friends and family have definitely noticed a difference. Recently, I helped one of my sons with plumbing work. I was bent double under the work surface, twisting, turning reaching and was sure I would suffer. But no, not a hint of an ache or a pain on that day or any subsequent day!

I would recommend having an assessment at the Ideal Spine Centre to anyone who is having ongoing back problems or other unresolved health problems, or even better, wishes to prevent health problems occurring in the future.

Val Weston (Age - 59)

Originally, I had no intention of having my spine checked or having adjustments myself. I was just concerned about my husband, Lloyd. I have never really suffered from any kind of back pain, but, was getting concerned about my increasingly rounded shoulders and the curve of my upper spine. My father had the same thing and it was very marked in his latter years.

So, I booked myself in for an assessment as a part of the family check-up. When I saw my x-rays, I was surprised to discover that apart from the upper part of my spine, I had Vertebral Subluxation lower down as well, six areas in all. Dr. Christian told me that he could do something about the things that were worrying me, so, I started getting adjustments at the Ideal Spine Centre a month after Lloyd.

Within a short time, my shape changed completely (I wonder if I am taller!) and my posture improved. I am also signing up for my second year too, so that I can continue to improve.

I am so pleased that I made that initial call, both of us becoming involved with the Ideal Spine Centre and have never looked back!
