Peggy Whiting – Age 81

We were enjoying the last few days of a holiday in Canada, visiting a local fair. We noticed a chiropractor offering a consultation and x-ray for a small fee for a limited time. I was very interested, as throughout my holiday and some months earlier I was experiencing severe neck pain. I had been treated earlier with a few sessions of physiotherapy, which involved acupuncture and exercises, with no noticeable relief.

The chiropractor in Canada told me I had severe problems with my neck and should start treatment immediately. My spine showed a curvature and other subluxations which also needed treatment.

On our return to our home in Whitstable I tried to seek help for these problems as my neck pain was difficult to ignore, especially when travelling by car on the local ‘bumpy’ road. I spotted Dr. Farthing’s large notice when we were visiting Canterbury, not really aware of the treatment available. Eventually I did take advantage of the free spinal screening which showed very severe and advanced subluxations. I was so pleased these problems had been discovered and were treatable over a period of time, as I could see quite clearly the damage to my vertebra. I am sure I would be suffering with severe neck pain now if I had not noticed Dr. Farthing’s sign. The pain has almost disappeared from my neck; my back will take a little longer. I know now to always remember good posture and other advice which I’ve learned from the workshops. It has been an inspiration to listen to Dr. Farthing’s teachings and the various guest speakers at these work shops.

Dr. Farthing also recommended both Harold and I have attend a course of soft tissue massage with James. He has been tremendous and definitely helped make our adjustments more comfortable.

We talk enthusiastically to friends and acquaintances of the benefit of Dr.Farthing’s practice, of the modern technology and caring staff. We hope they will take advantage of this life restoring care and enjoy life more fully like both Harold and I do today, thanks to the Ideal Spine Centre.

Harold Whiting – Age 82

My wife had been experiencing severe neck pain for a year or so, before she became aware of the damage to her spine and distortion of her cervical spine (neck). We had not been aware of Dr. Farthing’s practice as we had only moved to Whitstable a short while before. However, once we saw his notice in the entrance to the practice, we were intrigued. After some delay we both decided out of desperation and curiosity to take advantage of the free spine and health check.

When we saw the results it was obvious my wife needed immediate treatment. After a few weeks I also asked Dr. Farthing to investigate my neck pain. This was not as severe as my wife’s problems. Nevertheless, I was aware most days of a nagging pain. The x-ray showed degenerative spurring in the cervical area and subluxations in the thoracic and lumbar areas. I did not need any persuasion to start treatment if it meant relief from daily pain. This has indeed happened, as I only occasionally remember I had daily pain. Both Peggy and I have learnt how to respect our body and be aware of posture and the care of the spine in relation to our overall health.

We always enjoy the happy atmosphere of the practice and are encouraged by the frequent examinations which are carefully noted by the staff and the progress made.

This treatment has happened rather late than I would have wished. But at least it is not too late as Dr. Farthing emphasises, “It is never too late for a check-up!” I explain our treatment and progress to friends who mention their aches and pains and other health problems. I always recommend they come in for a spine and subluxation check-up as they could also could benefit from the care and attention provided by the Ideal Spine Centre.

We are both moving to Canada to live closer to our children and grandchildren. We are both healthier and stronger to cope with the move and spend quality time with our family. We have already organised and booked in for an adjustment when we get there. We want to make sure we keep up the great progress made so far.

We have made many friends and have felt part of a larger family at the Ideal Spine Centre. We leave you to join another family in Canada but you will always be remembered. Thank you so much for your guidance, friendship and help.
