I have suffered with lower back pain and neck pain for years. I also suffer from arthritis in both hips. I couldn't walk for very long before I had to sit down and rest my back. I had visited osteopaths, which did give some relief but did not attend to the cause of my problems.

I saw an advertisement for the Ideal Spine Centre in the local paper, so my husband and I thought it would be a good idea to make an appointment to find out if anything more could be done for our problems.

Despite being normally cheerful and having a positive outlook, the pain and sleepless nights were leaving me feeling tired and sometimes quite despondent.

At my initial assessment I found out I have 8 subluxations (I had never heard of this before, but it is now very familiar). This was not good, but Dr. Farthing said he should be able to help, along with me helping myself with regular exercises.

I made the commitment to have regular adjustments and do the exercises, and I am so glad I did. At the completion of my first 90 days, my lower back pain was much reduced, my neck was less stiff and painful and I could sleep so much better. Also my 2 nd x-ray showed a huge improvement in the curve in my neck (the 'Arc of life'). Now more than six months into my programme, I have had a few bad days, but with time to speak with Dr. Farthing and a re-evaluation, I was soon enough on track again.

I will definitely be continuing with the adjustments and exercises and am looking forward to a future with complete wellness.

Dr. Farthing provides excellent care. He also teaches us about optimal health and how the nervous system is so important in achieving wellness. His Clinical Assistants are friendly, welcoming and very efficient, all this combining to make visiting the Ideal Spine Centre easy and a pleasure.

Having read an advertisement for the Ideal Spine Centre in the local press, it made good sense to my wife Linda and I to go and have an assessment. We had both had some problems, which in my case were frequent neck and shoulder pains and lower back pain. Visits to an osteopath provided some relief at times but no cure. Hopefully the Ideal Spine Centre could help. It did - the initial assessment was a blow, discovering I have 7 subluxations (a word that I had not heard of before, but one which we all need to become familiar with). Subluxation in my spine showed varying degrees of seriousness, especially in the lower spine.

Fortunately both areas seemed to be correctable, and Dr. Farthing was optimistic that further decay could be stopped and some improvement should result. His programme of regular adjustments, coupled with the necessary daily neck exercises and use of the wedge, have combined to bring the loss of the normal curve in my neck back by over 30% nearer to where it should be, in the first 90 days of treatment. Pains in that area have been eliminated, and although work is still needed, my neck is reasonably flexible. The other areas have also shown improvement.

The care, adjustment programme and attention provided by Dr. Farthing and his excellent supporting team, backed up by very good administration, have made life easier. The Ideal Spine Centre itself is welcoming and friendly providing a good background for all patients. Now more than six months into our first year of care, both my wife and myself are very glad we came to the Ideal Spine Centre.

I now need to sustain and maintain the improvements. Both my wife and I have advised various friends to go and get assessed as well as helping distributing leaflets locally to make people aware of the special days held at the Ideal Spine Centre. Thank you.
